1939 Golden Gate Expo Souvenir Advertisement “A.S. Sousa” Thermometer & Calendar

This is a rare, souvenir from the 1939 Golden Gate Exposition sponsored by A.S. Sousa, a grocery store in San Francisco. It has a thermometer with a foil frame surrounding a picture of the Golden Gate Expo in a glass frame with a small 1939 calendar hanging from a ribbon. All of the months of the calendar are attached. January had some tears and corners missing but the months under it are in good condition. There is a paper clip in the lower left corner holding the calendar together so none of the small, frail pages get accidentally ripped out. This paper clip is old and has been there awhile. The foil frame around the thermometer and picture has some ripples in it but it is still in good condition. The whole thing has a string at the top in which to hang it on the wall. It is amazing this is still in one piece after 82 years.
