    Description

    100% cotton reproduction child's closed inseam drawers or pantalettes.  New item which has never been used.
    The drawers have a two piece waistband which closes with buttons at both sides of the waist. The buttons are washable shell-look plastic.  The waist as shown is 22" it is a simple matter to move the placement of the buttons to change the size of the waistband. The pantalettes are 19" from the top of the waist band to the bottom. The inseam is 10 1/2". The bottom edge is decorated with a single row of 1" wide cotton eyelet (or as it was know broderie anglaise) lace.

    Both boys and girls of the Era wore drawers.  The only difference between the drawers of little boys and little girls was the amount of decoration around the hemline.  Children's drawers buttoned on both sides and often little boys had drawer bodies (a loose undershirt-like garment) that buttoned to the waistband.  Unlike adult drawers, children's drawers had sewn crotches.  this pattern is for drawers suitable for boys and girls to around the age of 6.  The pattern is for a waistband that buttons at both sides.  Drawers usually were mid-calf in length and con be seen in pictures peeking out beneath the little girl's and little boy's dresses."
