    Description

    Skirt is newly constructed of cotton in dark navy, red and green plaid.  It is intended to represent an every day item of the 1850s-1860s.  Skirt is knife pleated across the front and cartridge pleated for appropriate fullness at the sides and back.  The pleats are handstitched tightly to the waistband.
    It will fit a 31-32 inch waist comfortably.
    Front length is 42 inches and tapers with an additional 3 inches of length at the back.  There is a 4.5 inch hem around the full 130 inch circumference of the skirt hemline.  Skirt closes with two heavy skirt hooks at the back.   Opening is about 12 inches deep.
