  • Condition: Good-Very Good overall vint cond: In well-pres cond after nearly 85-91 yrs since its realization. It boasts 1st gen enml hnd pntd diecast/pressed steel surfaces in glowing cadmium red w/metallic silver detail, w/affixed orig decals decorating the ext of the antique fire engine. The enml pnt is orig to the toy & wasn't touched-up or 'in-painted.' It has nearly unblemished, solid blk rubber tires, which haven't flattened from sitting on one side over the yrs, as sometimes these early enml pntd diecast toys are found with. The tires are also outfitted w/tin knobbed hubcaps, another feature & characteristic of earlier Hubley vint American diecast toys from before WWII & likely first made in the early-mid 1930's, well before the war. The paint is orig, as are all the accessories detailing this marvelous fire engine, such as a big ball on its hood holding a siren, a mounted, pivoting fire hose cannon & lg searchlight behind the cab. A nice, early vint American enml pntd vint toy. Handsome.
