This bed is an excellent choice to accommodate a wide range of patients, including bariatric patients. The unique design of this Electric Frame includes an adjustable frame that makes it possible to change its length and width dimensions in just seconds. It is compatible with several customization features. Its adjustability and optional accessories work together to make it one of the most versatile models on the market. And because it is so easy to use, it is a favorite among caregivers and medical workers. Low Frames create additional comfort and safety for patients with limited mobility. This is because the lower mattress deck makes it easier to get in and out. The low deck height also reduces the severity of fall injury. This Primus has a low position that brings the mattress deck to just 15 3/4 inches off the ground. It can also adjust to a high deck position of 29 1/4 inches off the ground. *Weight capacity includes the weight of patient/resident and all accessories, including head/footboards, mattress, side rails, etc. The High Capacity Frame can also adjust by length and width without the need of an extension set. The width can adjust between 39, 42 and 48-inch positions. The width adjusts by simply pushing a release button and pulling on the frame. The length adjusts by first removing the footboard and mattress retainers. Ergonomic screw knobs release the footboard and allow it to be pulled out of the frame. Mattress retainers remove from the frame after releasing their retaining pins by hand. Once the footboard and mattress retainers are removed, simply pull or push on the foot end of the frame to adjust its length. This Bariatric Hospital Frame comes with a patient control pendant that controls the electronic functions. It can rise and lower at the head and at the knees, and it can convert to Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positions.
