    Description

    RARE AMERICAN ANTIQUE JULY 17 1901 R HOEHN Co. CHANDELIER DECROTIVE THERMOMETER.
    The New York thermometer company of R. HOEHN was founded in 1860 and aquired by Taylor Thermometer Co in 1905 to eliminate competition. This thermometer was Hoehn's answer to Taylor's successful three sided chandelier thermometer. This example is much much rarer than the Taylor chandelier thermometer.
    There is some corrosion and there is a crack in the thermometer.  Does not appear to tell temperature correctly.
