San Francisco Worlds Fair G.G.I.E. 1939 Ephemera Bundle Lot
My stepdad visited the San Francisco Treasure Island World’s Fair in 1939 when he was just a boy. His grandparents took him. A few years later he started collecting World’s Fair memorabilia. 70 + years later my step-dad is gone and his collection (he collected many items from many different fairs, expos, and celebrations. This lot is for the following:
A printed burlap child’s vest “39er”
A metal bookmark with original hassle.
A paper cup from a coffee machine or kiosk.
A small California Building glass.
A small Cavalcade of a Nation 1940 pennant.
An ice pick.
A deck of cards.
A book of matches, unused, Old Gold cigarettes.
A small souvenir photo mounted in a metal rim frame with a pic of the expo on the back (Mills Sales Co.).
A small silver plate spoon 1939.
A Union Pacific aluminum coin.
An adjustable ring.
A Farrington Products coaster.
A glass bank.
An engraved cowrie shell 1939.
A complete Cineviews set in the original box.
A souvenir picture set with 12 pics (with descriptions on the back) in an envelope. The envelope says 8 pics so I don’t know the story, although the pictures look as if they were once attached to an album then removed leaving residue on the back, though the descriptions were unharmed. The envelope and pics all say copyrighted by Fred Mayer.

A pre-fair brochure with projected attendance etc, an unused envelope, a program from The Federal Theater of The “Swing Mikado” WPA, CA dried fruit recipe brochure, an air mail envelope addressed to Honorable James A. Farley, Chairman, National Democratic Committee, Washington, D. C., Official Guide Book with unopened map intact in the front cover.

I am charged with selling some of my stepdad’s estate/collectibles for my mom.
